Last Saturday we caught the bus up to Sukosan , approx. 10k south of Zadar. This will be our final destination before the take over on the yacht. Sukosan is a really quaint little village with lots of character. We're staying in an apartment not far from the marina , right on the waters edge. You cant do much around here other than relax. We were fortunate enough to be given the use of a couple of bikes by our Aussie friends Cam and Anne.
Most days we get out and have a bit of a look around. I have to say tho the bike Im riding makes me really appreciate my "Dogma" at home not to mention the saddle....(sorry Cam) but it does beat walking every where !
The weather here has been mint, constantly in the mid 20 's. Shorts and T shirts every day ! We have been getting into a nice routine. Who ever is first up in the morning, goes across to the bread shop and gets the days supply. Its then brekky on the patio over looking the bay, great way to start the day.
We have just had confirmation that Tracey , Wayne and Bryden will be visting for a couple of weeks in July. By then we should be up and running with the boat and able to do some serious sailing around these fantastic waters. They fly out of Split on the 28th , this is around the time Chilly and Simon arrive, so its going to be nice to have some familiar faces around.
So we now have the countdown til when we can hopefully call the yacht ours. The boat is lifted out this Saturday and then surveyed. Then hopefully everything going to plan its hand over the Euros on Tuesday 21st May and then its all on from there .
Hopefully the Euro improves by next Tuesday, until then , thanks for reading, Steve.
